- Quantum of subsidy
Compensation not exceeding to Rs. 50,000/- will be given as a lump sum assistance to the next of kin of the deceased fisher who has enrolled under the scheme.
- Eligibility criteria
- Eligibility for enrolment
- The fisher shall be aged above 18 years (completed). The enrolment will cease at the age of 70 (completed).
- The fisher shall possess either a valid Vessel Registration Certificate or Net Registration Certificate or fish seller card or any registration certificate issued by the Department.
- In case of Fish Farmer/ Aquaculture, the Coastal Aquaculture Authority (C.A.A.) certificate along with a proof of 15 years domicile in the State of Goa may be provided.
- Beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and Blue Revolution scheme with valid 15 years’ residence certificate.
- In the case of crew working temporarily on the fishing vessel/fish farm: Certificate from owner of the vessel stating that the individual is working as crew on his/her vessel, is mandatory. OR Certificate from owner of the fish farm stating that the individual is working as worker, is mandatory
- He/she should be a resident of Goa with 15 years of domicile and provide a residence certificate from the concerned authority.
- The crew member will be temporarily enrolled only for one financial year and shall submit certificate from owner stating that he/she is working in farm/vessel for subsequent renewal failing which he/she shall be not eligible for the benefit of the scheme.
- The Declaration from the next of kin stating that he/she is not Government servant or employed in any other Government undertaking institute/Corporation/Agency
- Documents required
- In case Applicant possess any valid registration certificate issued by the Department
- Copy of registration certificate of fishing vessel or fishing net book or fish seller card or any other registration certificate document.
- Aadhaar Card of Applicant iii. Birth Certificate of Applicant (If full date of birth is not mentioned in the Aadhar card) iv. Copy of Bank Pass book of Applicant
- In case Applicant is working as crew member:
- Certificate from owner of the fishing vessel owner/ fish farmer as per Annexure “A”
- Copy of 15 years’ Resident certificate)
iii. Aadhaar Card Applicant
- Birth Certificate of Applicant (If full date of birth is not mentioned in the Aadhar card)
- Copy of Bank Account Passbook linked with Aadhar Card.
NOTE:
- The Pattern of assistance, Eligibility Criteria and the Documents requirement may vary subject modification in the Scheme.
- One Time Registration fees of Rs. 100/- shall be paid by the applicant during registration
Natural Calamity Relief to Fishermen of State.
- Quantum of subsidy
All active fishermen who contribute to the Fishermen Corpus Relief Fund whose Fishing Vessels incl. Engine, Motors, Fishing Vessels are damaged or lost due to natural calamity like Floods, Cyclone, Tsunami, Accidental Fire shall be eligible for financial assistance as per the pattern of assistance of the scheme.
- Eligibility criteria
- The Non-Motorized/Motorized canoe, Mechanized Fishing vessel/trawler should be registered with the Department of Fisheries under Marine Fishing Regulation Act/MS Act.
- The applicant found operating Mechanized Fishing Vessels by means of trawl-net and purse- seiners along the sea coast of the State of Goa in the territorial waters of Goa during the ban period shall not be eligible for the financial assistance.
- The fishing vessel should have net license and fishing Pass valid up to date.
- The applicant should not be the defaulter of the Department.
- The claim application should be submitted within one week of the incident accompanied by photographs and Panchanama Report and copy of FIR.
- The loss or damage has to be verified by competent authority.
- The applicant/owner of the Fishing vessel should have paid the annual fees as prescribed for his crew members, vessel and fishing equipment.
- he death claim should be accompanied by missing report/ death certificate/ post mortem report or police report stating that the body of victim is not traced/found after one year from the date of incident.
- Documents Required
- Application in prescribed form.
- Certificate of vessel registration.
- Valid fishing license certificate & fishing net license certificate.
- Statement of contribution for Fishermen Corpus Relief Fund by applicant.
- Panchanama report, F.I.R. report (if applicable)
- Post mortem report/ Missing report/ Death certificate (if applicable).
- Copy of loss assessment report from Authorized Marine Surveyor.
- Copy of weather report from Meteorological Dept. on the day of incident occurred. (if applicable).
- ECS Mandate Form along with Bank Passbook.
Quantum of Assistance
- Loan upto Rs.5.00 lakhs and below is provided to the beneficiaries in fisheries sector.
Eligibility/Criteria
- All bonafide agriculturists, individuals of animal husbandry sector and fisheries sector with or without Kisan Credit Cards from the State of Goa are eligible.

Financial assistance for construction /renovation of unit:
Financial assistance will be provided as subsidy i.e. 50% subsidy of the cost of construction/renovation of unit limited to Rs.5.00 lakhs per unit. -
Financial assistance for purchase of equipment’s:
Financial assistance will be provided as subsidy i.e. 50% subsidy of the cost limited to Rs.2.00 lakhs per unit will be provided as subsidy for purchase of the equipment’s (list of equipment included under the scheme are mentioned on the application form).

Eligibility/Criteria
Any individual (resident of Goa for the last 15 years) interested in setting up a unit for value added fisheries products can avail benefit under the scheme. Preference will be given to self help groups, women entrepreneurs, youth (who have completed fishermen training course/short term training programmes conducted by Directorate of Fisheries)
How to Apply
- Forward Application in the prescribed form to the Department.
Purpose: The KCC facility will meet the Short Term Credit requirements of rearing of animals, birds, fish, shrimps, other aquatic organisms, capture of fish etc.
Beneficiary: The Fishermen/ Fish Farmer who own or lease Registered Fishing Vessel/Boat, possesses necessary Fishing License/Permission for fishing in Estuary and Sea, Fish Farming/Mariculture Activities in Estuaries And Open Sea and any other State specific fisheries and allied activities.
The eligible Fishermen/ Fish Farmer should apply to the respective Bank for availing the KCC facility.
Financial Assistance for registered Fishermen Society
- Quantum of subsidy
All Fishermen Societies/ Associations registered under the Co-operative Societies Act shall be eligible for Financial Assistance to the extent of Rs. 50,000/- as grant in- aid.
- Eligibility criteria
- The Fisheries Cooperative Societies Associations registered with the Fisheries Co-operative Societies having more than 25 members will be eligible for availing these benefits.
- The society should produce an audited statement of accounts.
- The society must employ at least one personnel for the maintenance of records. The Books of Accounts shall be produced before Department Authorities for inspection when called for.

- Membership details of Society/ Association.
