The Directorate of Fisheries, Goa, organised three-day training program on Better Management Practices and Diversification in Aquaculture in collaboration with Marine Product Export Development Authority (MPEDA), Regional Office Mangalore at the Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD) from July 24th to 26th, 2024. The event was officially inaugurated by Superintendent of Fisheries, Department of Fisheries, Goa, and attended by 56 eager trainees.The curriculum included:• Better Management Practices (BMPs) in Aquaculture• Farm Enrolment, Aquaculture Diversification, and Major Species• PMMSY Schemes• Infrastructure and Technological Innovations (RAS & Biofloc)The sessions were led by Shri. S. Subramaniyan, Assistant Director, MPEDA Mangalore, Dr. Vishnudas Gunaga, Assistant Director (Rtd.), MPEDA and Shri. Chandresh Haldankar, Superintendent of Fisheries. Participants were awarded certificates upon the successful completion of the training.
